New Teams In PNRFU DIII This Fall

It looks like the Portland Pigs and Corvalis are putting forth PNRFU DIII sides this Fall. They will be "Associate Members" until the next AGM.

With that we have now 8 DIII sides:

• Kitsap
• Quake
• Budd Bay
• Sharks
• Portland
• ORSU
• Corvallis
• Eugene

The proposal on the table right now makes it look like our season is going to run from Sept. 12th to Nov. 14th. Fishbowl is Aug. 15th, and our Army/Navy match will likely be a week or two after the end of our regular season.

Eastside 10s -- match report

We came to Marymoor park with 8-9 guys played in 4 matches, picking up 3-4 whores. The first was against Eastside, I believe the final score was 70+-0. We lost a lot of ball due to support issues and a loose pack. Second match was against the Pacific Rovers. They were mostly Fijians with a sprinkle of ex-pats, that play for Microsoft. We were only down by 3 tries in the first half. Then at the second half we got dominated. We only lost that match 50+-0. Were pretty much laughed at by the Fijian women on the sidelines. We had our Lunch break then continued. Our next match was against Ellensburg. The match was pretty tight, we scored our first try of the day from a kid named Zach. He played for the Eastside U-19 program, fast as all get out. We couldn't keep up though with all the young kids. We only lost 30+-7. Our last mach of the day was against WWU. It was the best match for us this day. Timmy scored our only try against WWU. We lost 20+-7.

5th annual Kitsap Family Fun Run - Match Report

On Sunday, May 31, several KRFU members participated in the 5^th annual Kitsap Family Fun Run. The 5K run, that started at 2:00 pm was preceded by a 1 mile run/walk as well as children's fun runs/sprints. Over 700 people of all ages combined to participate in the two runs which were held to help in the battle against child obesity at the Kitsap County Fairgrounds in Silverdale. On an uncharacteristically hot day the following KRFU personnel showed their support for the cause: Ken “Fist” Healy, Addilee “Mrs. Fist” Healy,Roisin "Little Fist?" Healy, Brent “Last Foot” Rotter, Julie Jackson, Mary Bartley, Brian “Apricot” Bruce, Tevya “rookie” Friedman, Jen Moore, Oliver Otterbeck, and Michelle Otterbeck.
